There will be a distinct emphasis on education at Dive Dome and the respect
and protection of the world's oceans features highly in the Dive Dome
philosophy. The venue will be a centre of excellence for tropical marine
education in the UK with interactive multi-media exhibits and classrooms
to drive learning on natural ecosystems and marine life behaviour. Dive
Dome intends to work with some of the world's leading international conservation
societies such as EarthEcho International (formerly the Philippe Cousteau
Foundation) and Nature Conservancy.
Dive Dome will give you access the work presently being conducted at
our Oceanography Centre. Dive Dome will be a world leading centre for
research and education in marine and earth sciences, for the development
of marine science and medicine.
Educating and training the next generation of oceanographers and earth
scientists within a research environment is a key part of our mission.
The Dive Dome will offer undergraduate opportunities of placements in
Oceanography and Geology. Schools and Universities will draw on the wide
range of the scientific community and the excellent facilities available
at Dive Dome research. The Dive Dome will offer a series of short courses
available to external candidates.
